The all-pink Hello Kitty Cafe Truck pulls into Hillsdale Shopping Center on Saturday, Aug. 22, for a one-day stop selling themed sweets and limited-edition merchandise.
The mobile pop-up will be parked across from Pinstripes at the shopping center, 60 31st Ave., from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to Patch. The San Mateo visit is part of the truck's 2026 U.S. tour, which has already rolled through Arlington, Virginia, on Aug. 9 and Montgomery County, Maryland, earlier in August, along with a multi-day appearance at San Diego Comic-Con in late July.
What's for sale
On the food side, shoppers can pick up giant cookies, cookie sets, five-piece macaron sets and madeleines.
The truck also carries limited-edition keychains, thermal bottles and plush toys. New to the 2026 tour lineup are tote bags, blankets, zip-up sweatshirts, mugs and T-shirts. The new mugs and totes have been confirmed at earlier tour stops on the East Coast.
One day only
No additional Bay Area dates have been announced for the truck's 2026 run. The Hillsdale stop opens at 10 a.m. Saturday and closes at 7 p.m.
